This review is from: 5 Steps to a 5 AP Psychology, 2010-2011 Edition (5 Steps to a 5 on the Advanced Placement Examinations Series) (Paperback) The review guide was GREAT. I went through almost all of the multiple choice questions, and when I took the test some of them were the exact same. The AP test just felt like I was doing my review guide. A lot of the material was reviewed in the book so it helped A LOT. And this book is really small so you actually have tiiiime to read it before the test unlike some of the really thick ones that by the time you get to the end you forgot the beginning. :) 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful: This review is from: 5 Steps to a 5 AP Psychology, 2010-2011 Edition (5 Steps to a 5 on the Advanced Placement Examinations Series) (Paperback) I absolutely hate McGraw Hill! But this book is a surprise. I think that the AP series are the only good series in McGraw Hill Publishing. It analyzes the chaoter section by section and gives quizzes to ensure proper understanding. This is a steal for the price! I actually thought Princeton Review/Kaplan would be a good bet but I am for sure that this is the best one by far. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful: Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: 5 Steps to a 5 AP Psychology, 2010-2011 Edition (5 Steps to a 5 on the Advanced Placement Examinations Series) (Paperback) If psychology makes sense to you, this is the book for you. It reviews concepts with short definitions and short examples, so you can get through it very quickly. At the end of each chapter, there's a multiple choice quiz which ensures that you understand what you're reading. I felt that my psychology TEXTBOOK was extremely repetitive and used WAY too many examples to explain one concept. This book actually covered some vocabulary terms that weren't mentioned at ALL in my textbook, and it gives you the bare bones of psychology. Going into the exam, I was confident that I would get a 5, and sure enough, I did! I finished the multiple choice section with 20-25 minutes left so went over the whole test. NOTE: If you struggle with understanding psychology, this book may not be detailed enough for you. |
