This book is a good effort - I was expecting a lot more out this book but was a bit disappointed. There are a few typing mistakes and some incorrect solutions as well. The books also covers many topics that are not on the GRE-GMAT exams. The practice problems are good but again - there are a few mistakes in the solutions and many of the problems do not have any solutions - just an answer key. There are a few neat shortcut formulas that the author has included - but you have to look for them carefully. Graphs are explained in detail and there is a lot of text on parabolas, ellipses and hyperbolas - which you don't really see on the exams. Topics like Probability, permutations and combination and not covered in great detail - the high level GRE problems focus on these topics. The data interpretation section is virtually non existent. Some of the GMAT topics are covered but again. 4 out of 5 stars for the effort and practice problems. Also of note - the author Mr. Yang is very responsive...Read more

I used "A-Plus Notes for SAT Math" in high school to prep for the SATs to get into college, and now I'm using "A-Plus Notes for GRE/GMAT Math" to study for my graduate school entrance exam. This book provides a simple and easy way to review the math topics needed for the actual exam. A few specific things I found really helpful were that all graphing techniques of transformations are presented together (pages 151-153), all rules of circles are presented together (pages 239-240), and all area formulas are presented together (pages 245-246). I haven't found any other review book that offers such an organized and user-friendly way to review and study the material; actually I haven't found any other books that even come close. Thanks Mr.Yang for writing this great book!
