I AM NEVER DISAPPOINTED IN THE PREPARATION MANUALS PUBLISHED BY BARRON. MY STUDENTS TELL ME THE MATERIAL IS THE MOST CHALLENGING AND THEY FEEL WELL PREPARED WHEN THEY TAKE THE TEST. THE EXPLANATIONS PROVIDED WITH THE ANSWERS ARE VERY GOOD. I LIKE THE FACT THAT LETTERS ARE GIVEN FOR THE MULTIPLE CHOICE QUESTIONS SO THAT THE STUDENT IS ABLE TO TRY AGAIN ON THE MISSED ITEM BEFORE GOING TO THE EXPLANATION. THIS IS AN EXCELLENT RESOURCE.

We use Barrons SAT for our In-Home Tutors business but based on recommendations from our tutors have stopped using Barrons ACT. They prefer Princeton Review -- better strategy, more practice tests and examples.
Solid ACT book that raised my score by 3 points,

I'm not sure what the problems for other reviewers were, but my experience with this product has been great. I took the ACT two times and got 33s, then sat down with this book and went through highlighting all the portions I was unsure of. The night before the test I reviewed my highlighted text and received a 36. I can't say for sure that this book was the sole reason I added 3 points to my score, but it definitely helped and I recommend it to anyone trying to up their score by a few points. With how much admission and scholarship offers are based on standardized tests these days, $10 is an investment worth making. Good luck!
