So when I first came into AP Chemistry I taught it would be very easy; well I was wrong. The first semester I barely managed a C in the class. Then I decided to buy Barron's AP Chemistry, and I reviewed it thoroughly. The next semester I managed an A in AP Chemistry and I obtained a 5 on the AP Chemistry test, which was unbelievable since I had performed so badly first semester. I truly recommend this book.

There are many questions that would not appear on the AP test. This made the practice tests frustrating. Some things are just not very clear and multiple questions are debatable as well. It is fairly summarized information, but a little long. There are definitely better books out there.

It is extremely painful to read through this book. There are plenty of other books for AP Chemistry that are much more interesting and engaging. The only good thing about this book are the Multiple Choice tests. I used the tests from this book and the text from 5 Steps to a 5.
