This little book provides an excellent overview of the many aspects of Earth Science. After studying this book for a month, I was able to pass the Praxis II Earth Science Content Knowledge Test on the first try, even though I have never taken a course in geology, astronomy, or oceanography. It is easily understandable and succinct, with good diagrams and illustrations and useful review questions.

I purchased this book because I took an earth science class. It was incredibly useful. It enhanced and clarified the information taught in the class. Because I did not have a regular textbook in the class, this book proved to be an invaluable resource for me. Without it, I would not have done as well as I did. This is an excellent review. It is well organized. Its chapters coincide with chapters in any Earth Science book. Whether you never have had a course in earth science or you want to review the main ideas Cliffs has been the best review guide for many decades. The bookseller was prompt and the book arrived quickly and in good condition.
