This book is good to flip through shortly before you take the exam. It was helpful especially in the math and writing sections. Taking my ACT again after reading this book, I raised my math score by four points up to a 32 and my writing score by 1 point up to a 10. Unfortunately my other scores went down, science the most. So my composite only increased 1 point. I am probably going to purchase a larger review book from the Princeton Review because this one did not go enough depth because of its length. I would have liked to see more strategies for pacing, grammar rules, and science practice. This book is very good for a short review, and it is not daunting at all. The book is very conversational and even a little humorous.
