Product Description
The passages in this book have been designed to closely resemble official MCAT Verbal passages. From the type font to the subject matter to the number of words in each passage, question, and answer choice, these exas have the real MCAT feel. The questions in this book accurately duplicate the intended ambiguity that is the challenge of the actual MCAT. As is true of the official MCAT, you won't find the answers to these questions by hunting through the passages to find specific details. Instead, you'll need to understand the passeges in their entirety, just as you will on official MCAT day. The explanations in this book provide a comprehensive breakdown of correct, and incorrect answer choices. If you want lots of practice with tough, accurate MCAT exams to boost your Verbal Reasoning score on MCAT day, this book is for you.

Summary: This is a must have for all pre-meds out there 2010-02-07
Comment: My Chemistry Princeton Review instructor recommended this book. What a fantastic book! The only way to study for the verbal section is to practice, practice, practice. I did 4 passages (back to back) everyday- 2 minutes for the passage, and 1 minute for each question. I took the MCAT in 2008 and got a 12 on the verbal section. This book is definitely worth it!

Comment: Practice makes perfect :)
The book really trains you to get ready for the real MCAT.

Summary: Very Useful! 2009-12-10
Comment: Had this book for a few weeks now and everything is going well. I feel like I am understanding where and why I am making mistakes on the verbal section. I've taken the MCAT before and EK101Verbal is pretty accurate to the MCAT. The only downside is that it has a few typos in there so make sure to check the back of the book that the answer matches up with the answer key. This is a common problem to all EK books though. The key to improving using this book is to look at every answer that you put, write and wrong, for the first few tests to see what your doing right and what your doing wrong, and you start scoring higher because you keep doing the things you do right, and stop making mistakes!
Good luck with the MCAT!

Summary: Best source to study for MCAT VB. 2009-09-03
Comment: The only other study guide I used besides this book to study for the MCAT verbals was Kaplan so I can't say much about Barrons or other smaller brands. However, I can tell you that I found this book very helpful and beneficial- the Kaplan books... not so much.
