While the selection of passages is excellent, crafting of questions is simply a bad joke. To be precise, it is mostly the answer choices that makes this book time-wasting, if not skill-diminishing. The answer choices in this book are just not the kind of choices that appear in an actual test. Especially annoying is that many "right" answer choices can be right only after a very very long stretch of logic, which NEVER happens in a real test. 15 of 19 people found the following review helpful: By A Customer This review is from: GRE/LSAT/GMAT/MCAT Reading Com (Arco GRE GMAT LSAT MCAT Reading Comprehension Workbook) (Paperback) I have reviewed the first 3 chapters which contains explaination given by the author to tackle the reading comprehension questions. But to co-relate the theory(explaination given by author) to the practice questions is practically not possible.MY CONFIDENCE HAS NOT INCREASED BY ANY CHANCE!!!!!!!!!!!!! READING THIS BOOK. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful: By Manny (Texas, USA) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: GRE/LSAT/GMAT/MCAT Reading Com (Arco GRE GMAT LSAT MCAT Reading Comprehension Workbook) (Paperback) I was looking to improve my reading comprehension skills and this book helped a lot.
All the practice passages have detailed explanation about both right and wrong answers - which is very helpful. |
