Summary: Wrong CD-ROM 2001-07-20
Comment: When you buy this book (10th edition), do not buy the one with the CD-ROM. It is not the right one (it is the 9th). All the books with CD-ROM have the wrong one. The correct one comes out in October. So if you want to buy this book do NOT take the one with the CR-ROM, because you're going to waste money!!

Summary: Very good but have some problem with CD-ROM 2001-04-30
Comment: I think this book is excellent especially with model tests. However, this book also have some problems with model tests, that is, Model tests on the book and on the CD-ROM is different for Model tests 1-4. There is no problem with Model test 5-8, which helps me much anyway. I heard new CD-ROM will be published this July.

Summary: I recommend you to buy book with CD 2001-04-17
Comment: This book is suit for the advance learner, it's mean you already revised the grammars or structures. This book will guide you to the patterns of the exam, like which structures are often seen in the toefl exam. The best part is the modal test in CD, that like the actual test and you can practice like a real (not really CBT). But about essay you have to select another book coz' little examples. Actually before you will buy this book I would like to recommend you to buy the practice book of Barron, which will have more questions to practice. Anyway if you have only one selection this is your way!

Comment: I bought this book after i failed to get the score i needed in the TOEFL exam, and it helped me a lot at the second time I did the test. The best part about it is the CD-ROM that has 4 complete tests so you can practice just like if you were doing the real Computer Based TOEFL Test. It helps you to get in the mood of the test so you are prepared when you take the real test. There is only one thing that should be enhanced in this book. The review and hints at the "writing test part" are not enough. There should be more essay examples. Over all, this is the book you have to buy if you are planning to pay just for one book to prepare for the TOEFL
