Simply put, great preparation. It trains you so well before the lsat and corrects you before you make the most predictable mistakes.

If you are looking to spend as little money as possible and get very non-personal, mid-range help, then this book will definitely get you what you want. If you want to score 160+, I cannot recommend this for prep. These books cover the basic strategy and approach for each section, but miss the bigger picture every step of the way. The books do not give you a coherent overview that will make you a better LSAT test taker, but rather give you quick tips that help on the easy and medium difficulty questions. It seems these books are set up to compete with the Powerscore series of bibles, and I would definitely choose that set. If you are familiar at all with Kaplan's approach to the test, these books will reinforce that (as expected), but I think this approach is just too lazy for this test. If you can get away with just reading over a few examples with some dumbed downed explanations, then you can probably save your money and just figure them out on your own.
