I couldn't disagree more with the above reviewer. This book is awful. The author typically supplies rationales only for the "correct" answers. He never tells you why other answers (which may seem just as rational) are incorrect. Also, the explanations themselves are full of errors, like when the author writes that "lyrics, by definition, are the words to a song, but a poem is not a song." Guess he has never heard of lyric poetry. The book is full of some fairly maddening answer choices that demand deeper explanations that what the author provides (i.e., why the hell is "adhere" a better antonym for "rail" than "tout"?). Get Kaplan instead.

2.0 out of 5 stars Mathematical and grammatical errors!, December 27, 2010

This book contains a mathematical error on page 40 and uses "you're" instead of "your" several times(i.e. "you're task on question 3..."). I didn't spend much time using this book because of these errors. I am very reluctant to use a book with such errors to study for such an important test. Be careful with this book!!

1.0 out of 5 stars Terrible preparation, June 20, 2011

This book is terrible, especially for the verbal sections. The questions and answer choices are often ambiguous, but not in a way that standardized exams are written. Perhaps this was in an effort to make the practice exams more "difficult"; however, it detracts from the integrity of the questions themselves.

There are much better test preparation books out there, especially for the GRE. Do yourself a favor and check those out instead.
