When you are trying to learn from a text book it makes it very difficult when there are so many errors in the exam parts. You would think they would at least check their own test results for errors.

A textbook that is supposed to prepare you for the GRE should not have any errors. I feel like they haven't even checked their own answers as so many of the "solutions" are downright wrong.

Full of errors and bad explanations,
July 13, 2011 This review is from: McGraw-Hill's New GRE with CD-ROM, 2011-2012 Edition (Mcgraw-Hill's Gre (Book & CD-Rom)) (Paperback)
This book is riddled with errors in the answer key. Many of the explanations for the answers on the verbal section are tautologies, e.g., for the question "Select the sentence in the passage that presents an argument for the surprising and unusual nature of this discovery", it gives "This sentence tells the reader that the device is unique and surprising" as an explanation for the correct answer.
Also, there is no indication of how to score your test; it just gives some cop-out about how the conversion between number of questions answered correctly and score depends on the version of the test you take. This is true of most standardized tests, but most books give an estimate so you at least have some idea of where your score would be.
Completely worthless.
