Summary: Perfect Phrases great tool for applications 2010-06-06
Comment: this book definitely made my application for medical school a lot stronger. it is divided into sections to demonstrate how to perfectly describe different types of experiences, from clinical research to shadowing to personal goals. I will definitely refer back to this book throughout my career.

Comment: This is a very odd book. It basically has a hundred or so essays and excerpts from other peoples essays. All it really did for me was give me a general sense of what medical schools are expecting in terms of essays and interviews. I read about 20 pages as I flipped through, overall finding it generally unhelpful. I also feel people could use the excerpts in the book to directly copy into their essays...
