Picked up a few books on grant writing, either it was a text book or two much Information that I was trying to grasp. OMG, I just wanted a book that would explain grant writing in away that an average person could get it and not feel overwhelmed. Finally I found this small book which was concise and straight forward without all the confusing lingo. Within the first few chapters it gives some very valuable information without you having to get to the end of the book. It gives you the meat and potatoes and that is what I love about this small book that gives a big punch. It is a step in the right direction and I highly recommend it for people like me who are new to grant writing.

Concise and compact, this book covers a lot of information in short order. At several points I wished the beginnings/endings of the examples had been more clearly defined as the uniform formatting tended to make them run into the surrounding text, but over all this was a very helpful resource. Well organized and full of expert insider tips as well as formal instruction and glossaries, this would be an excellent place for any beginning grant-writer to start.

This book is just what it claims! "the only writing series you ever need." I don't know how it could be improved. I especially appreciated the way it was set-up. I had no problems finding the information I needed! It covered everything about writing a grant.
