An Informative Tool on Paying for Med School,
May 2, 2000 By A Customer
This review is from: The Right Price: How to Pay for Medical School and Feel Good About It (Paperback)
After having done much searching during my four years as a pre-med student, I was unable to find a book whose subject matter solely targeted the high cost of medical school. Finally, as I prepare to enter medical school, I've stumbled upon Christine Wiebe's book, How to Pay for Medical School and Feel Good About It. It is obvious Wiebe has had much experience in the field of medical education. She not only describes the traditional path of paying for medical school, which puts most students into a large amount of debt, but also explores numerous alternatives to financing a medical education. The book does not just revolve around sheer numbers, however. Wiebe also incorporates the realities of a medical student's pressured lifestyle into her work, thus showing how financing a medical education fits into the big picture. It is also concise and simple to read. Overall, I highly recommend this book as a tool for anyone who is seriously considering a career in medicine.
