As with anything J.A. Konrath has published, this is tense. I'm not familiar with Ann Voss Peterson, but she obviously has a similar sense of pacing. The only downside is that it's a short story and like eating a cookie sample you're left wanting more. Still at .99 cents, it's a great value. I read a lot of thrillers, but the twist ending here was unpredictable. I'd recommend this for anyone who likes fast-paced stories with loads of tension.

WOW! This was my first read by either of these authors. Twice during this short story I blurted out "Oh My Gosh!" It took me by surprise a couple of times! I'm so glad I bought and read this story! It was very succinct and riveting.

This book yanks you left, then right, and just when you think it's over...you get clotheslined. It's awesome.
The first and second halves were each written by different authors, but it blended so seamlessly that I had forgotten that it was. Konrath and Peterson are a great match!
